Landmark Farm, Somerset

Landmark Farm comprises a 500kW Vestas V52 turbine, with a 52m rotor and 40m tower height. On windy days, the turbine supplies power directly to buildings within the farm via our in-house developed smart micro grid IoT platform. A percentage of the gross revenues are donated to the local Parish Council for investment back into the immediate community. The turbine has now been operational since 2014 and has produced over 10 million kWh to date. Community contributions at Landmark Farm now total over £150,000, shared equally between Wanstrow Parish Council and Withal Friary Parish Council.
