Simon Reevell (Tory MP for Dewsbury) has put down an early day motion calling for a 1.5 mile “buffer zone” between houses and wind turbines. If this were to become law renewable power in the UK would pretty much STOP DEAD.

Try and find suitable sites with good wind resource, access to the electricity grid, not in a designated site and a mile and a half from houses. You will not find many.

Many countries such as the US and India are rolling out massive solar power scheme because that is their most plentiful resource. Here in the UK we have wind and wave. While wave power still seems indelibly linked to the Severn Barrier and going nowhere fast – wind is here TODAY.

So, lobby your MP today and make sure they do not unwittingly condemn the UK to decades more oil-addiction…..
